Advanced Digital Photography

Experience level: Intermediate/Advanced

8 Week Course

Building upon what you have learned in Beginner Digital Photography we will delve deeper into ISO, aperture and shutter speed to gain more creative control while achieving great exposure. We will focus on how to use these functions in tandem and pull more creative concepts out of them each week. You will learn to use shutter speed creatively through use of long exposures for more dynamic and interesting photos. (A tripod is recommended for these assignments)

We will dig into your camera’s focus system take full advantage of the options and how each one can be used in different situations to achieve your desired results. Additionally we will discuss how filters can enhance the look of your photos and add a creative dimension to your work without breaking the bank.

Each week we will look at new tools and techniques to raise your photography to the next level while creating more interesting compositions to draw the viewer in. You will be tasked with weekly photo assignments using the techniques discussed in class as a means to put into practice what you have learned.

We hope you’ll join us and take your work to the next level in this fun and fulfilling class!
