In late April of this year my husband and I had the pleasure of traveling to CA to see and photograph my best friend’s wedding. A few college friends from around the country as well as family all gathered together for a couple of days of nostalgia and fun. A slight mishap in planning, however, turned our wedding trip into a beautiful adventure. We found ourselves traveling 5 hours north to Yosemite National Park on a 24 hour whirlwind trek. So there we were driving up to Yosemite so that we could sleep, get up, hike for an hour then drive back to get on our flight back to the east coast. Sounds crazy right? Well, when you get the chance to see Yosemite, however short the time, GO! We had just enough time to see the valley, marvel at Sequoias, enjoy drinks at the Wawona Hotel and hike to the Vernal Fall footbridge. Driving the windy roads in and out of the park proved somewhat of a challenge if you’re like me and get car sick just thinking about curves but I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. We’d love to go back again, spend more than just 24 hours but I’d say for the short time we were there we lived it up! I hope you enjoy our adventure!
